Respected author and ultimate wolfgirl LuvinJ mentioned the To Choose a Star series in an interview she did for Jacob Black and Pack. You can read it there or just check out these excerpts.
WolfGirl_JB: What made you decide to start writing your own fanfiction?
LuvinJ: I honestly came up with an idea for a story and thought about trying to get a real writer to do it for me. Then I thought of them changing it, or it not turning out the way I envisioned, so I broke down and starting writing it myself. I had been pre-reading and watching an author write from the inside and decided I could give it a try. I learned so much from her, so thank you Purelyamuse.
WolfGirl_JB: What is your favorite kind of reader? How important are reviews to you and your motivation to continue on?
LuvinJ: I like a reader that interacts. Reviews and pm’s are the life line to a writer. They let you know if what you are trying to say is coming across. If you get no feedback, you assume they either get it or they hate it. It is very frustrating. I know to a reader and non writer, they might not understand how powerful their opinion is. It may not change a story, but you actually never know. The writer has told this story herself, so I am not out of line saying it here. But I reviewed and pm the author on one of my favorite all time stories. She was just on the first part at the time. It was a back and forth story between Edward and Jacob. I saw so much potential with this writer/story. I told her my feelings and we really talking about them. About all sorts of possibilities and directions for the story. It ended up changing the course of her story and now she is just finishing the third and last installment. Jacob got the girl!
WolfGirl_JB: You got me really curious about this story now, will you share the title with us?
LuvinJ:The original story was To Choose a Star, followed by Nothing Sort of and the third and final installment is For Him. The first two are posted here and For Him was nominated and was in the JBNP awards. Purelyamuse is a fantastic writer and an even better person. She listens, but she still has her feelings and her directions she wants to go and stays true to herself. She always knows best in the end and the complete arch of this trilogy was epic.
