The Bathed in Black Contest winners were announced today. There was a Reader's First Choice, Reader's Second Choice and Judges' Choice. The first choice award was tied in a three-way and only one vote made the difference. Apparently my story, Deluded, was one of those three. Since there was a second choice vote, myself and the other three way tie-er don't actually get acknowlegded for technically being second place. Oh well. It was a fun cntest and it's always an honor to have new people (and judges you admire) read your work. Here's what the contest host had say about my work and the other tie-er:
I'd also like to say a special thank you to purelyamuse and FigSk8ingAngel for writing entries that weren't rated 'M', you two were the other two stories that were in the three-way tie. It was refreshing to see that there could be great stories that the fandom enjoyed that weren't heavy in curses or sexy times. In the end it came down to one anonymous vote, but I wanted to let you know that you two did a great job and to keep up the great work.

You and @FigSk8ingAngel and @ThatPanicGirlE actually all tied for runner-up. There were a total of 60+ votes, plus an additional 20+ before the tie was broken. That's a great turn out for a first contest and I can say that for the last three hours of the open voting, I thought you'd all need banners!
